Debra's training as a painter and sculptor has served her well in her career as a fashion designer; her knowledge of form, balance and function becomes part of every design decision she makes. In addition to her formal training her life experiences have become part of those decisions as well; John Singer Sargent, Coco Chanel, Esther Williams, musical theater, organic gardening and raising two beautiful daughters all have become part of Debra Moreland, the designer.
Her design vocabulary and understanding of the process has made her the ideal partner with many of the greatest contemporary bridal designers, creating attachments and accessories that perfectly compliment their designs. Debra takes great pleasure in setting a design challenge and meeting it. Her goal is to create accessories that, while beautiful in their own right, allow a woman’s personal style to become the focus.
The Artisans she employs in her studios in Cincinnati, Ohio are trained to create in exacting detail from Debra’s original prototypes the piece that you receive. Each artist signs their work with their signature charm worked into the piece. Using only the finest materials they create the beautiful accessories known throughout the world as classic and timeless, the heirlooms of tomorrow.

Some of our most popular designers are Vera Wang, Lazaro, Forever Yours, Jim Hjelm, Mori Lee, Private Label by G, Amsale, Vera Wang, Monique Lhuillier, and Jasmine. We have dresses in several different styles, (straight, a-line, strapless, etc.) sizes, (1-30) and colors (white, ivory, café, rum pink and ice blue) that are available in just about every price range.
Although we offer a personal bridal consultant, you are free to browse through our tremendous selection of dresses at your own pace.
Our highly skilled consultants take the time and energy to work closely with you so that you are not overwhelmed while making this important decision. Bridal consultants at Bridal and Formal have a keenly developed eye for noticing what looks best on every bride. We will help you choose the style and color of your gown for the perfect look on your wedding day.
We carry over 3000 sample gowns to try on so that you can choose from a vast selection of styles for your unique look.
Our sample gowns can be ordered, however, we also have a good selection of off the rack gowns available in various styles and colors. Orderable gowns take approximately 4-8 months to arrive, so it is a good idea to plan ahead.
One of the signature qualities of Bridal and Formal is that we encourage you to bring in pictures of dresses that catch your eye in your bridal magazines. Once you arrive at our store, our sales consultants will be happy to find your favorite dresses from the magazines and help you try them on. As you will see paging through your bridal magazines, we do carry most of the designers displayed in the advertisements.
Many of the designers come to our store for trunk shows throughout the year.
Our reputation with dress manufacturers is such that many of them visit our store at least once a year. Even the designers are amazed by the size, orchestration and organization of our business.
We also offer veils, headpieces and jewelry. At Bridal and Formal, we believe that veiling is of utmost importance in finishing the look you want on your wedding day. Once you choose your dress, your consultant will begin showing you different looks that can be achieved by a headpiece and a veil. Remember, at your wedding, the veil is what enables guests to distinguish you as the bride.
Some of the hottest looks are tiaras and hair brooches made with semiprecious stones, freshwater pearls, or Austrian crystals with platinum, bronze or silver frames. Some of our most popular designers are Paris, Headpieces by Toni, Bel Aire, Paris and Erica Koesler. Many veil designers offer different lengths, degrees of fullness, edgings and accents. You are sure to find the perfect match for your dress that will complete the look you want on your special day.
